Brett Orlando is Managing Director and Global Head of Commodities Transition at Bank of America. Based in London, Brett leads on the energy transition for the Global Commodities franchise. In this role, he is responsible for a low‐carbon commodity solutions platform for the bank’s corporate and institutional clients.
Brett has worked for internationally for more than 25 years in both the private
and public sector. Prior to Bank of America, he was CEO of Net Zero Capital Advisory and a Senior Advisor to the International Emissions Trading Association. That followed a 14‐year career at Deutsche Bank, where he held senior positions in both Commodities and Structured Finance. Before investment banking, he worked in climate and energy policy at IUCN‐The World Conversation Union in Geneva and for the Clinton administration in Washington, D.C.
Brett has served on numerous task forces and committees on sustainable finance throughout his career and is currently a member of the Market Advisory Board of Xpansiv, a market infrastructure provider for environmental commodities. He holds a MA from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced
International Studies and a BA in Politics and Government from University of California at Santa Cruz.
