Ultima Forma will showcase lightweight hydrogen pipes, vacuum storage, thermal management, leading-edge guards, PM-HIP components and waveguides, all developed using our suite of proprietary electrodeposition technology. Our innovations offer major weight savings - up to 57% -versus conventional methods, improving gravimetric efficiency and enabling low-carbon aviation. Unlike machined or welded components, our near-net shape process creates tailored, hybrid parts with minimal waste, using room-temperature, automated manufacturing that supports circularity. With TRLs from 4 to 7, our solutions are being developed with Airbus, GKN and others, and align closely with the ATI's sustainable aviation roadmaps.
Electroformed Components For Net-Zero Aviation
Ultima Forma uses its patented electroforming process for the manufacture of components to aid the transition to net-zero. Using our CAE tools, three areas will be described; 1) the design of lightweight erosion protection guards for composite leading edges
